Nigeria faring better under Jonathan, says PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Lagos State chapter, has congratulated Nigerians within and outside the country on the occasion of the 54th Independence anniversary of the country.

The party in a statement signed by its publicity secretary, Taofik Gani, said it was convinced that Nigerians all over the world have reasons to celebrate our progression at this time in the nation’s history.

“It is a fact that the country is faring well in many areas so much that many African leaders are proud to have us in the continent.

“Of course, there is always room for improvements,” the party stated.

It consequently flayed the All Progressives Congress (APC) for allegedly promoting destructive opposition and lack of patriotism.

“The PDP urged Nigerians to continue to support the Goodluck Jonathan- led PDP administration and to believe in the quest of the country to be among the best five nations soonest.

“We congratulate Nigerians on this occasion. We urge them to stand by the PDP in projecting our nation in good light.

“We must be weary of the destructive opposition bent on pulling down our country. They can never see anything good in the country, only if they are the ruling party.

“Ironically, they claim good economy and the rest in their few states, but cannot be magnanimous to admit that no state economy can be independent of the country’s economy. They are no doubt hypocrites of the Nigerian state,” the statement said.
