Fayemi Appoints Chairmen For 35 Ekiti Councils

The Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has approved the appointment of caretaker chairmen for the existing 16 and 19 newly created councils in the state.

Governor Fayemi, it would be recalled, had last week signed the new councils into law as passed by the State House of Assembly.

According to a statement by his chief press secretary, Mr Yinka Oyebode, the new chairmen are to be sworn in on Tuesday, August 5th, 2014 at Jibowu Hall, Government House, Ado-Ekiti.

The chairmen include: Oye local government, Hon Tope Longe; Ifeloju LCDA, Hon Olumide Adeyanju; Ifesowapo LCDA, Hon Adeyeye Bolaji Johnson; Efon local government, Mr Dipo Ogunleye; Ilejemeje local government, Hon Tope Ogunleye; Ajoni LCDA, Mr Aribasoye Adeoye; Ero LCDA, Hon. Akinwale Alebiosu; Ifedara LCDA, Hon Sina Ogunleye; Ekiti West local government, Kareem Agunbiade; Ise/Orun LCDA, Ayodeji Ajayi; Emure local government, Hon.S.F Adewale; Isokan LCDA Olumide George Fadipe, among others.
