Adamawa Acting Gov swears in new commissioners

In an effort to have a smooth and successful administration within the three months interval, Acting Governor of Adamawa State, Alhaji Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has sworn in nine commissioners following the accelerated confirmation of the nominees by the state House of Assembly.
The swearing in of the commissioners on Thursday afternoon came few hours after their screening and confirmation by the state House of Assembly who got their list from the acting governor on Wednesday.
Speaking at the swearing in, at Government House, Yola, Acting Governor Fintiri said they were picked based on merit and much was expected from them in moving the state forward.
Fintiri cautioned them against corrupt practices in the discharge of their duties, adding that the interim administration was committed to handing over a better Adamawa to the next government and would not condone any act of indiscipline.
Responding on behalf of the commissioners, Chief John Elias, thanked the acting governor for considering them worthy of the appointment and assured that they wouls not disappoint the people of Adamawa.
The new commissioners are Felix Tangwami from Demsa Local Government, Saidu Mustafa from Song, Rogers Nathan from Hong, Jummai Wulasha from Guyuk and Ahmad Alhassan from Maiha.
Others are Bashir Ahmad from Mayo-Belwa, Justina Obadiah from Lamurde and Nuhu Bobbo from Fufore.
