FCTA Urged To Shut Down Illegal Motor Parks In Abuja
The Manager of Peace Motor Transport Company, Mr David Okoroafor, on Monday appealed to the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) to ban the operation of illegal motor parks within the territory in view of the security challeges.
Okoroafor made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
He, however, advised commuters to desist from patronising illegal motor parks and roadside commercial vehicles.
‘’ In a city such as Abuja, for us to allow illegal motor parks to operate is quite unfortunate.
‘’We, as a company, have tried on our own to stop them and you can notice at the entrance of our gate, some illegal loading activities going on there.
‘’We have written to all the government agencies involved, we have written to Utako Police Station, Vehicle Inspection Officer (VIO) and the Federal Road Safety.
