MADA GROUP SUPPORTS AL-MAKURA

The Mada ethnic group in Nasarawa State, has floated a new body to campaign for Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura’s re-election in 2015.
Mada for Taal Movement (MTM), the new group headed by Comrade Kassim Muh’d Kassim, announced its debut after a weekend meeting of Mada stakeholders who resolved that they will work for the governor’s re-election on the platform of the APC so as to defeat the PDP.
The deputy governor of the state Barau Luka is from the Mada ethnic group.
Coordinator of MTM disclosed that the decision to support Al-Makura came after stakeholders met and assessed the performance of the governor in the development of their area.
“Our people scored this governor high because we are enjoying  appointments and projects, especially within Madaland. Governor Al-Makura approved and created a First Class stool, with a second class one to go with, for Madaland, as he approved the construction of asphalt roads in Akwanga. Now, a general hospital is coming, as is a new market project to go with the ongoing provision of a special school, mini stadium, TAAL model schools and the ongoing provision of rural roads and bridges in the area,” he said
