Borno APC Chairman Warns Aggrieved Members against Defecting to PDP
BY ABI IDRISU:
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman in Borno State, Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori Sunday warned any member of his party in the state against defecting to rival Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), insisting that such decision may be disastrous and one to regret for a lifetime.
Dalori advised that no member of the ruling APC should allow anyone to deceive him into joining the PDP, as such an action may turn out to be the greatest undoing and "worst political miscalculation" as there will be very limited options in opposition party.
The party chairman stated this in a statement issued on Sunday against the backdrop of growing rumour that some APC loyalists close to the former governor of the state, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, have concluded plans to move to PDP.
He noted that it has become public knowledge that some aspirants have been putting pressures on a key leader of the APC, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff to defect to PDP thinking they (the aspirants) would be given automatic tickets to contest under the platform of PDP ahead of the 2015 elections, stressing that such aspirants would only realise too late that they have gone after a farce.
