Mark, Ahmed Condole El-Rufai over Son’s Death

Senate President David Mark and Kwara State Governor, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed, yesterday condoled with the former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, along with his family over the death of his son, Hamza, in an auto crash in Abuja on Tuesday.
Mark, in his condolence message contained in a statement by his Special Adviser, Media, Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan, said he received the news of Hamza’s death with shock and pains.
According to him, the deceased had a promising future and vision which would have contributed to the socio- economic and political development of Nigeria.
“It is sad that a promising Hamza with a very bright future ahead died in his prime. We cannot question the will of the all-knowing Almighty creator. We can only pray that the Almighty God grant him eternal rest and give his immediate family the fortitude to bear this loss,” he said.
Mark encouraged the bereaved family to take solace in the fact that death is a necessary end which must come when it chooses to come. He also encouraged el-Rufai to remain strong in his faith in the Almighty God, saying: “This is one of the challenges and mystery of our existence as humans because nobody knows the time and the date death will come. “
On his part, Ahmed in a statement described the death of Hamza as painful, unfortunate and shocking because he was a young man with huge potentials to contribute to national development.
The governor prayed God to grant the el-Rufai’s family the fortitude to bear the impact of the loss and the deceased eternal rest.
