Fashola commiserates with El-Rufai over son’s death
Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, has commiserated with former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mallam Nasir El- Rufai, over the death of his son, Hamza, in a road accident, expressing deep shock at the incident.
In a condolence message to the former minister who is also a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Fashola said the death of Hamza was a painful one especially when viewed against the background that he was a young man with a promising future.
Fashola added that the death of Hamza at a time when he was poised to contribute his quota to the development of his fatherland after concluding his education was, to say the least, very saddening and regrettable.
While praying for the repose of the soul of the departed, the Governor urged Mallam El-Rufai to take solace in the words of the Holy Book that Allah is the one who gives and takes away.
Governor Fashola also prayed that the Almighty Allah would grant Mallam El-Rufai and his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
