Akala, only aspirant that stands by PDP principles – Group
Former Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala, one of the governorship aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, has been described as the only aspirant among the lot that stand by the principles of the party.
This was the submission of the umbrella body for the campaign committees of Alao-Akala gubernatorial aspiration in 2015, ‘Team Akala’ in a statement issued preparatory to the opening of its operations office on Saturday.
Coordinator of the team, Niran Adeyoju, in the statement, said, “there is only one candidate who has consistently stood by his principles in PDP and held to his oath while he was the executive governor of the state.
“Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala is the right candidate that can restore Oyo State back to its pace-setting state come 2015’’, the statement reads.
Adeyoju said the event would hold at the new office, situated at Uncle Joe Bus Stop, Oyo Road, Mokola in the state capital by 10 am and would attract members of the team as well as other volunteers and stakeholders in the campaign organisation.
“The opening of the operations office is to make clear that Team Akala is ready to work hard to spread the message of hope and the incoming of a government with human face that Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala represents”, the statement added.
