PSC Redeploys Ojukwu, Police Spokesman, 36 Other CPs
The Police Service Commission (PSC) Wednesday redeployed 37 senior
policemen, including the Force Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel
Ojukwu, to different parts of the country.
According to the PSC, the redeployment was in line with Section 215 of
the 1999 Constitution, which empowers the Commission to appoint
officers to states as Commissioners of Police.
While some of the officers were freshly deployed, others retained the
states they head.
Ojukwu was deployed to Kogi State and Ikechukwu Nwodibo to Taraba State.
Others are J. Habila , Abia State; Adejo Gabriel Adaji, Adamawa State;
Muritala U. Mani, Akwa Ibom State; Karma Hosea, Anambra State;
Mohammed K. Mohmmed, Bauchi State; P. Okafor, Bayelsa State; Dibai P.
Yakadi, Benue State; J. Opadokun, Bornu State; Henry Fadairo, Cross
River State; Usman Bala Alkali, Delta State; P. Abdallah, Ebonyi
State; Chris Ezike, Edo State; Etop J. James, Ekiti State; Mohammed
Adamu, Enugu State; Wilson Inalegwu, FCT; Austin Iwar, Gombe State;

The Chairman of the Commission, Sir Mike Mbama Okiro, said: “The
deployment was to reinvigorate the State Commands for more effective
and efficient policing in line with the Change Agenda of the President
Muhammadu Buhari administration. I implore he State Commissioners of
Police to take their jobs seriously and ensure that they are committed
to the enforcement of law and order and protection of lives and
properties within the ambits of the rule of law.”
