Police IG deploys new commissioners to Lagos, Rivers, Ogun
The Inspector General of Police, IGP Solomon Arase has ordered the deployment of new commissioners of police in Lagos, Rivers and Ogun states to stem the tide of crimes in the states.
Deputy Force spokesman, chief superintendent of police, CSP Abayomi Shognle made this known yesterday in a statement in which he said the deployment which affected some headquarters offices is part of the police boss effort to inject fresh ideas in the security architecture of the affected states.
CP Ajani Owoseni, moves to Lagos command, CP Chris Ezike moves to Rivers command, while CP Abdulmajid Ali is new Ogun command CP. Other postings include Dan Bature, CP Intelligence FCIID FHQ, Valentine Ntomchukwu CP Admin Dept, Logistics and Supply, FHQ, Hyelasinda Musa, CP Fed Special Anti-Robbery Squad, FCIID FHQ, and CP Kayode Aderanti CP Admin, Dept of Operation FHQ.
Others are CP E. J. Ibine, CP Port Authority Eastern command, CP Ogbusua Oleh CP Provost, FHQ, Abuja.
“In line with the determination of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon Arase, to inject fresh ideas in the security architecture in Lagos, Rivers and Ogun states, and some other Force Headquarters Formations. The IGP has ordered postings of new commissioners of police.
“It is expected that the new postings will reverse the crime wave in the affected states, while also strengthening administration.
