Tambuwal Okays Payment of July Salaries to Civil Servants
Sokoto State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, monday approved the payment of July salaries to enable workers in the state to celebrate the forthcoming Eid-el-Fitr festivities.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Public Affairs, Malam Imam Imam, in Sokoto.
According to the statement, the gesture was to enable civil servants in the state to celebrate the Sallah festivities with ease and happiness.
The statement said already, payments had commenced for all categories of government workers in the state civil service.
It urged the workers to reciprocate government’s gesture by rededicating themselves to the service of the state.
It appealed to them to use the remaining days of the Ramadan and the Sallah period to pray for the peace, unity, stability and progress of the state and the country as a whole.
“You should utilise the remaining days of the Ramadan fast to pray fervently for peace to reign in the state and Nigeria in general,”the statement read.
The statement therefore wished all citizens of the state happy Eid-el-Fitr celebration, in advance.
