Segun Ojo Urges FG To Rehabilitate Obajana-Kabba-Omuo Ekiti Road

The Federal Government has been called upon to rehabilitate the Obajana-Kabba-Omuo Ekiti road towards improving the socio economic life of people leaving in the area.
The Special Adviser to Kogi state Governor on Records Management, Pastor Segun Ojo made the appeal while speaking in an interview at Iffe, Ijumu LGA.
Pastor Ojo pointed out that the nature of the road is currently deplorable as it has hindered the free movement of farm products making the road a place of refuge for men of the under world.
According to the Special Adviser, the road has posed a great threat to the lives of road users if urgent step is not taken.
He stated that the nature of the road has caused many accidents which has led to loss of many lives.
”We have been supporting the PDP led government and we wonder why our road should be in this poor condition” he added.
While praising the Federal Government for the ongoing reconstruction of Kabba- Egbe- Ilorin road, Pastor Ojo however urged the government to assist the people of the area with a good road network.
In another development, the special adviser has enjoined the people of Kogi state to support the present administration in the state.
He said the call became necessary based on the fact that no society can develop in an atmosphere of rancour and acrimony.
While commending the Governor, Captain Idris Wada, his deputy, Yomi Awoniyi, Senator Smart Adeyemi and others for their support to the victims Iffe petrol tanker disaster November last year, he disclosed that the victims have been compensated.
According to him, the thirteen houses razed as a result of the inferno are being rebuilt.
He assured of the unalloyed loyalty of Iffe community and Ijumu Local Government area to the Governor Wada led administration.
