Orji’s son, ex-COS, seven law makers secure PDP ticket

The Abia State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially released the winners of the just concluded State House of Assembly primary election held last Saturday with the Son of the State Governor, Engr. Chinedu Orji, the gove4rnor’s former Chief of staff, Cosmos Ndukwe and seven other serving members of the current House of Assembly been declared among the winners.
The names of the winners which was contained in a press release issued Tuesday evening by the State PDP chairman Senator Emma Nwaka in Umuahia also include the son of a chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC) in the State Chukwudi Apugo,however declared the winners as the Party’s candidates for the 2015 House of Assembly election in the State.
According to the release, three serving female house members secured the Party’s ticket which include Dr. Mrs. Blessing Nwagba, Dr. Mrs. Kate Maduako, Hon. Blessing Iheasimou, who won on a bye election to replace the late husband’, seats at the Assembly early in the month of August.
Other serving members who secured the Party’s ticket include Hon. Emeka Ejiogu, Hon. Marthins Azubuike, Hon. Emeka Alozie and Tony Mezie Nwaubani.
The State PDP chairman urged the winners of the House of Assembly primary as having started the journey, “We must not take for granted the fact that we are the dominant Party in Abia State, we must all work very hard to prove that our popularity is not a fluke”.
