PDP Top-shot, Halima Alfa Defects to APC, Endorse Audu for Governorship
Prince Abubakar Audu, an All Progressive Congress (APC) chieftain and former Governor of Kogi state has been described as the only seasoned politician that has required potentials and focus to rescue the state out of its present predicaments.
Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senate aspirant and member of the PDP Board of Trustee Hajia Halima Alfa disclosed this to journalists at the first APC election victory anniversary held at Ogbonicha, home town of Prince Abubakar Audu on Sunday.
Hajia Halimat said Audu remain a rally point for all politicians in Kogi state and North central as his political antecedents when he was governor are still visible and accessible.
“Most of the things he did then are still on ground till today and it is very unfortunate that incumbent Gov Idris Wada and his predecessor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris could not improve on what Audu did in Kogi when he was Governor”.
She blamed lack of internal party discipline, arrogance and insincerity as factors responsible for the collapse of PDP in Nigeria and main reason why she defected to the APC.
“I defected to APC because of the new president- elect General Muhammadu Buhari. He is honest, focused and highly discipline”.
“I know Gen Buhari as far back as at when I was the financial secretary of the then ANPP and he has a true leadership quality in him and Nigerian stand to benefit from his leadership if they exercise patience”.
She said she moved to APC to rejoin her political godfather, Prince Abubakar Audu that introduced her to active politics when he was Governor of Kogi state.
“Prince Abubaker Audu introduced me to politics more so my people want change I have no option than to follow them”.
