Kebbi State Govt Signs Health Care Bill, Registers Additional Farmers

The Kebbi State Government has signed into law the Primary Health Care Development Bill into after being passed by the Kebbi State House of Assembly and presented to Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.

The State Commissioner of Information , Alhaji Musa Hassan Kalgo made this known to newsmen shortly after the state executive council meeting held at Government House ,Birnin Kebbi .

He said that the Primary Health Care Development Bill was signed into law by Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu following it passage by the State House of Assembly.

“ The Bill has now brought all the Primary Health Care institutions under Primary Health Care Development Agency  for proper coordination and management,” the Commissioner said.

Kalgo also announced that following the sucessful implementation of the CBN ‘Anchor Borrowers Programme ‘for rice and wheat production launched by President Buhari last year , the Kebbi State Government has contracted a private company to register additional farmers whom have not benefitted from the scheme.

He added that the private agricultural firm , CHAMS Nigeria limited has been mandated to go round all the 21 local government areas of the state to register interested farmers wishing to grow any type of crop and not necessarily rice.
