Rivers Election Re-run: INEC, Police Warn Against Security Breach
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Inspector General of Police have asked all political actors in Rivers state to avoid statements and actions capable of breaching public peace, threatening to deal decisively with offenders.
Regarding preparations for the conduct of the re-run elections in Rivers state, the Chairman of INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu assured that every precautionary measure has been taken to ensure free, fair and secure election on Saturday.
