Modu Sheriff: PDP Has Come Back

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Alli Modu Sheriff, on Wednesday expressed delight that recent events had shown that the party is on the verge of bouncing back to rule the nation again.

Sheriff said recent results of all re-run and by- elections have shown that everybody had put behind themselves what made PDP to lose the last General Election.

He spoke while on a courtesy call to the Ondo State Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, in his office in Akure, the state capital, on the forthcoming National Convention of the party,

He said the fact that the PDP had won all the rerun elections conducted was an indication that the party is back.

The two-term governor of Borno State said he was in Ondo State to have discussion with Mimiko, who is the chairman of the PDP Governor’s Forum and the State Executive Council of the party on the forthcoming National Convention of the party scheduled for May.

Sherrif, who came directly from Port-Harcourt, where he had gone to campaign for the parties candidates in the Saturday’s rerun election in Rivers State expressed optimism that the party would win as it had won the previous rerun elections in many states.
