Gov Abubakar constitutes SUBEB, BMPWB
Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar has approved the re-constitution of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board.
A statement yesterday signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Bello Shehu Illela, said the re-constituted Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board will be headed by Alhaji Ibrahim Sa’idu Jahun as chairman while Alhaji Muhammadu Gadauji and the Chief Imam of Gwallaga Jumu’at Mosque, Mallam Ibrahim Idris will serve as part-time members.
Other part-time members of the board include; Mallam Isma’ila Bajoga, Mallam Aminu Azare, Mallam Yahaya Ningi, Mallam Musa Bayero Mohammed Kafi and Abdullahi Magaji Hardawa.
Similarly, the newly re-constituted SUBEB board will be headed by Professor Yahaya Ibrahim Yero as chairman with Mallam Yarima Babayo Misau and Mallam Ibrahim Sule will serve as permanent members.
However, Engineer Suleiman Sa’idu, Murtala Ibrahim and Auwal Aliyu Jallah will serve as temporary members of the board.
The board will also have representatives from the state Ministries of Education, Finance and Economic Development and Local Government Affairs.
Other representations will be from the State Parents Teachers Association (PTA) Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), the Federal Ministry of Education Inspectorate Division while women will be represented by Mrs. Adama I. Shu’aibu.
