Buhari is honest, but he’s surrounded by selfish betrayers – Lamido

BY ABU IDRISU

jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido has described as “a selfish cabal” the people surrounding the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, General Muhammad Buhari.

According to the governor, the cabals would not allow him win next month’s general elections in the country.

Lamido said the “cabals are capitalizing on Buhari’s so called popularity to seek elective positions,” but in spite of this, Buhari cannot emerge victorious at the polls.

The governor uttered the comments while addressing a crowd of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, supporters in Magatari town in the state during a political rally in the area, Sunday, January 11.

He said: “Frankly, even my party, the PDP has agreed that General Buhari is an incorruptible person but those surrounding him are selfish, they are misleading him on the present realities in the country.”

Lamido said that that those deceiving Buhari are former members of the PDP who dumped the party and moved closer to Buhari.

“These cabals seeking elective positions are betrayers. They betrayed PDP; the party which made them what they are today. They will also betray Buhari as soon as they get what they want, just as they are calling PDP all sorts of names and regard Buhari like god now. They will turn their back on him soon,” Lamido added.
